About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and organized Director of Communications to lead our efforts in effectively sharing WMT's mission and values with our community. This role is ideal for someone with a knack for strategic communication and a commitment to fostering meaningful connections.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to enhance WMT's visibility and engagement.
Oversee the creation and dissemination of all organizational messaging, including press releases, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Coordinate with team members to ensure consistent and accurate messaging across all channels.
Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and develop relationships with relevant media outlets.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and make recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in public relations, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to think strategically and creatively.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Passion for WMT’s mission and values.
About the Company
We Matter Too was founded in 2020 by Dr. Ashley Perkins and John Bollinger as a way to provide resources and community for those with mental health issues, mental disorders, and their caregivers.
We are an organization made of individuals that use their stories and lived experiences to provide support to peers.
